Extreme caution should always be exercised when wearing magnetic roofing shoes. Incorrect use of these shoes can result in loss of grip, leading to serious injury or death.
Read and understand all warnings and safety instructions before using magnetic roofing shoes.
1. Do not use on wet, greasy or icy surfaces, such as snow, frost, dew, condensation, loose debris, powdery or chalky surfaces, etc.
2. Do not wear the shoes for daily use or walk in mud, water, ice, oil, snow or on grassy surfaces; this will result in poor shoe performance.
3. Magnetic roofing shoes should only be worn on metal roofs and should only be put on the feet at the roof access point, at the bottom of the ladder directly on the roof, or at the top of the scaffolding at the roof passage point.
4. Inspect footwear before each use to ensure that the sole is free from filings and debris. At no time should the shoes be worn without using the magnetic cleaning tool to remove any filings or metallic material that may have become attached to the sole of the shoe. If any filings or material cannot be removed from the sole of the shoe, it must be replaced immediately.
5. Inspect the shoes before each use to ensure that the magnets have not worn through the sole and are not visible. When the magnetic shoe or roofing shoe shows signs of sole wear, for example, the Z-pattern wears through the sole and there are visible smooth areas on the sole, the shoes should be replaced immediately. Using the shoes with a worn sole could result in a loss of grip, which could lead to serious injury or death.
6. Always use appropriate fall protection, including, -safety harnesses, helmets and/or protection that complies with current regulations.
7. Extreme caution must be exercised when climbing up or down ladders or scaffolding.
The magnetic sole design of these shoes does not provide the same type of grip, support or feel as an "ordinary" shoe.
